FEDICE

The Luz de América community is located northwest of the city of Latacunga in the province of Cotopaxi. FEDICE works with 17 families. In addition to businesses in animal sales and agricultural production, some people are drivers and work in household chores. However, many are unemployed. Most families do not have enough income to cover daily costs, let alone save. As a remedy, FEDICE is working on a domestic animal project with pig and guinea pig breeding. FEDICE helps Luz de América in the selection and care of animals to improve the chances of obtaining maximum profit. The management of these animals will help families generate income, increasing the overall quality of life.
