FEDICE

In 2015, 17 families from San Francisco community in the province of Cotopaxi started a savings and credit union with the technical support of FEDICE. In San Francisco, most people work in teaching, masonry, agriculture, livestock, and domestic work. This work often does not generate enough income to cover the costs of daily life, much less save. FEDICE believes that a smaller savings and credit union will support community and collaboration, financially and socially benefiting the whole group.
